Lethal, sublethal and transgenerational effects of insecticides labeled for cotton on immature Trichogramma pretiosum

چکیده
The parasitoid Trichogramma pretiosum Riley (Hymenoptera: Trichogrammatidae) is often released to manage lepidopteran pests in cotton crops. However, growers rely on multiple insecticide applications pests. A harmonious integration of control tactics required for proper pest management, and the use selective insecticides (i.e., those promoting effective while causing little impact natural enemies) fits within this scope. This study aimed assess lethal, sublethal transgenerational effects from varying chemical groups T. pretiosum. were sprayed parasitized host [Ephestia kuehniella (Zeller), Lepidoptera: Pyralidae] eggs with developing stages (egg-larva, prepupa, pupa), biological traits assessed following adult emergence. Overall, pupae more susceptible insecticides. We found thiodicarb chlorfenapyr reduce F0 emergence rates comparable positive (methomyl). Adult deformation was highest flupyradifurone-treated organisms, both parasitism rate female survival reduced by (except teflubenzuron). sex ratio (proportion female) affected flupyradifurone. Transgenerational occurred emergence, which offspring (F1) thiodicarb, chlorfenapyr, flupyradifurone treated In addition, decreased F1 (≤ 0.33) compared other compounds (sex ≥ 0.45). These results indicate that teflubenzuron safest insecticide; are non-selective Field semifield studies confirm harmfulness toward

متن کاملLETHAL AND SUBLETHAL EFFECTS OF EARLY- SEASON INSECTICIDES ON INSIDIOUS FLOWER BUG (Orius insidiosus): AN IMPORTANT PREDATOR IN COTTON
Many new insecticides today are marketed as having a reduced impact on beneficial insect species. Many of these claims are based upon survival following application to a field or research plot. However, surviving exposure to a pesticide does not necessarily mean that the insect has not been impacted in some way. This research was designed to measure not only the mortality caused by some newer i...

Huanglongbing (HLB) is a disease associated with the bacteria "Candidatus Liberibacter spp." and has been devastating citrus orchards around the world. Its management involves control of the insect vector, the Asian citrus psyllid Diaphorina citri Kuwayama. However, the indiscriminate use of chemicals has caused pest outbreaks and eliminated the natural enemies of the vector, such as the parasi...

This laboratory bioassay focused on lethal and sublethal effects of five insecticides (chlorantraniliprole, cyantraniliprole, spinetoram, novaluron, and lambda-cyhalothrin) and two fungicide treatments (sulfur and a mixture of copper hydroxide and mancozeb) on the predatory mired bug, Deraeocoris brevis (Uhler) (Hemiptera: Miridae) using second instars and adult males and females. Formulated pe...
